Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to provide support and technical leadership as Modeling and Simulation Integration Engineering to directly support Systems Engineering and Integration for various NASA Programs, including SLS, HLS, and MAV. The role involves supporting the corresponding Lead System Engineer in the certification of critical models and simulations and their incorporation to the corresponding Design Model Logs. This is an exciting and challenging leadership and integration position that requires creativity, innovation, collaboration, and consensus building with leadership and technical experts across virtually all disciplines and stakeholders. We are looking for an integral team player who works collaboratively with others, and who can also work independently, coordinate projects, develop and learn new skills, and maintain communication with various stakeholders while working on multiple simultaneous projects.

Job Requirements: A degree in Computer, Aerospace, Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field or a BS in a technical discipline such as Computer Science is required. A degree from an ABET accredited institution is preferred. Typically, experience requirement is the equivalent of an MS degree with at least 18 total years of modeling and simulation experience or a BS with at least 20 total years of relevant experience in systems engineering and integration. The candidate is also required to have:

• Technical integration experience working with a variety of engineering disciplines and project/program organizations.
• Experience communicating to upper management and decision makers.
• Outstanding negotiation skills demonstrated through complex technical problem solving and the capability to break down complex problems or issues into manageable pieces to facilitate resolution of technical concerns or issues.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, customer relation skills, and presentation skills.
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
