Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the JASSM/LRASM program in Troy, AL. This position provides quality engineering support in a manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for:

• Ensuring quality is built into the product by developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining work instructions, evaluation and control and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished product.
• Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, tests and evaluates the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment, conducts quality assurance tests.
• Performing statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
• Auditing quality for deficiency identification and correction.
• Ensuring that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small-town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Our facility in Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Lockheed Martin will assist candidate with obtaining at least an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.

Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ("ATF") background check to obtain approval to be an "employee possessor" (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.

Desired Skills:

• Experience providing Quality Engineering support in a manufacturing environment

• One or more years of quality experience

• Lean Six Sigma / Green Belt or higher certification.

• SAP experience a plus

• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
