Hr Technology Intern

O'Neal Steel is looking for an HR Technology Intern for the Summer 2026 semester at our Birmingham, AL corporate office. As our HR Technology Intern, you will work on various projects relating to technological advancements within our HR department. Every day, you will work with various members of the recruiting, talent development, and HR delivery team to learn the current processes. Then you will utilize both AI and physical technology (360° cameras for instance) to improve upon those processes. You'll also get to visit our warehouse to see some of the machinery in action; this will help you understand the business better and bring the words on paper to real life. You should have a basic understanding of the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word), proficiency in AI agentic workflows, and be able to learn new systems quickly. You must have strong time management skills, the ability to work within a professional environment, a deep sense of curiosity to drive continuous learning, and a desire to produce actual results as this is not a job shadow opportunity. Even though this role is within the HR department, it is not limited to HR majors as the bulk of the work will be spent utilizing various technologies.
