Food Service Supervisor

Job Description Day to Day: Insight Global is looking for a candidate that will supervise and coordinate the daily operations of food services employees and the department for a healthcare facility in Birmingham, AL. This person will be responsible for:

• Ensuring cleanliness, sanitation and proper handling and storing of foods and supplies.
• Supervising assigned employees to include scheduling, work allocation, training and evaluating.
• Supervising the preparation and delivery of food items.
• Reviewing orders to ensure food meets prescribed standards for presentation, temperature and positioning.
• Ensuring work area and equipment is clean according to established procedures. Arranging for the maintenance and care of equipment, supplies and materials, as needed.

Skills and Requirements Must Haves:

• Associates degree
• Minimum of 5 years of food handling experience
• Supervisory experience
• Culinary school experience
