Provide EMC/EMI systems level support to the NASA Spaceflight Programs. Duties will include: EMC analysis, test planning, and circuit test and analysis. Candidate will evaluate test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. Provide progress reports and schedules to support design reviews and team meetings.
Job Requirements: A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field is required. A degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D., with a minimum 14 years of experience, MS with at least 18 years of experience, or BS with at least 20 years of experience. The candidate must have experience in EMC analysis, EMC test planning and procedures, and critical circuit test and analysis as related to space or flight hardware and systems. Must have experience in evaluating test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and -462 is a plus. Must be proficient with PC and appropriate software programs. Experience with ISS hardware and payloads is a plus.
