Job Title: Customer Service Operations

Department: Billing/Customer Service

Reports to: Manager of Consumer Accounts

OBJECTIVES COMMON TO ALL EMPLOYEES:

  • To assure the availability of high quality electric service to all members at the lowest possible cost by performing specific operational and customer service duties and responsibilities in a competent and expeditious manner.
  • To personally commit to a high level of teamwork, morale, work ethic, and willing cooperation among co-workers, work units, sections, divisions and departments.
  • To personally work to achieve understanding, acceptance, support and promotion of the Cooperative, its programs, policies, and objectives to enhance the image and reputation of the Cooperative, its Board of Directors and Management and to promote wise and conservative use of electric energy.

OBJECTIVES UNIQUE TO THIS POSITION:

  • To provide accurate, competent, and friendly processing of service requests for members of the Cooperative including but not limited to all types of service requests and yard lights.
  • Dispatch linemen to carry out service orders.
  • Verify accuracy of work completed with service requested.
  • Dispatch linemen when power restoration needed.
  • Coordinate minor power restoration efforts during normal working hours and after hours as requested.
  • Assist Manager of Operations recording outage records.
  • Maintain accurate meter files and inventory.
  • To process paperwork.
  • Answer customer questions regarding establishing, transferring, or maintaining electric service.
  • Maintains familiarity with TREC service territory and system maps.
