Customer Service Representative

Akelius acquires, improves and manages residential properties in the metropolitan cities of New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Austin, Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Ottawa, London and Paris. We are looking for a customer service-oriented person to work as service center representative for our office located in Montreal's Old Port.

Requirements:

• Bilingual French and English to communicate over the phone and in writing to our clientèle all over Canada
• Post-secondary education completed
• 2 years of experience in customer service
• Call center experience (is an asset)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
• Empathetic, problem solving oriented, organized and able to multitask
• Team spirit - working as part of a team with internal and external staff

Responsibilities:

• Answer resident (tenant) telephone calls, e-mails in a courteous and timely manner
• Data entry of work orders from residents with detailed information
• Dispatch work orders to facilities personnel and property management
• Follow up work order completion
• Assist with rent reminders
• Adherence to all company service center metrics
• Partake in open communication with the service center team and management for improvements, suggestions, and input
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec so incumbents can communicate with their colleagues and suppliers in Quebec as necessary. French-language training is offered to all incumbents in permanent positions in Quebec who do not have a good knowledge of French. Another language is required for this position in order to communicate with clients, partners and colleagues, who are predominantly located outside Quebec. The company has Francophone and Anglophone clients in Quebec and must therefore constantly use the two languages to communicate with its clientele.
