We seek a Cloud Support Engineer to join the technical support team, focusing on innovative API security technology. Responsibilities include providing mission-critical technical service for global customers, enhancing processes, optimizing operations, and improving metrics. This role ensures the delivery of an exceptional support experience that aligns with industry-leading standards.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Possessing extensive expertise in APIs and cybersecurity, specifically focusing on the OWASP API Security Top 10 guidelines.
• Working as a trusted support partner to resolve customer questions and issues. Providing technical/team leadership and direction to AkaTec organization
• Owning the problem resolution and collaborating with internal teams.
• Leading investigations across Akamai's Distributed Network for optimized performance and delivery for customers.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 1-2 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
• Possess experience providing technical solutions and support to B2B customers.
• Be well-versed in how the internet works, its underlying protocols, and have a solid understanding of DNS, HTTP/S, and TCP.
• Have knowledge of Linux, SQL, containers (Docker and Kubernetes), cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Have experience in troubleshooting and deploying software or networking equipment.
• Be able to prioritize your workload and communicate technical issues to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
