QA Engineer

Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability of operation. That is why the QA Department in Ajax Systems accompanies the product both at the development stage and in the process of production and further development. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. They are not just a team of "clickers", but creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: simulate movements of people and animals, recreate complex weather conditions, temperature drops, arrange controlled fires and floods.

Main tasks:

  • Back-end testing
  • Work with proprietary binary protocol, gRPC, and API
  • Work with monolithic and microservices architectures
  • Work with MongoDB, Redis, S3
  • Work with emulators
  • Participate in analysis and update of documentation
  • Interaction with other teams and departments (developers, business analysts, designers)
  • Interaction with Beta Test participants and Support team
  • Work with Git and Jenkins

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in manual back-end testing
  • Excellent knowledge of testing theory
  • Experience with requirements and specifications
  • Good analytical abilities
  • Ability to not only find a problem but also the cause-and-effect relationship
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail
  • Basic knowledge of Windows/MacOS/Linux
  • Experience with logging and logging systems
  • Experience with client-server architecture
  • Experience with API (Postman) and testing methods
  • Experience with tools like Kibana/Grafana, Git, Jenkins
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL DB
  • Basic knowledge of networks
  • Knowledge of binary and hexadecimal number systems

It will be an advantage:

  • Experience with performance testing
  • Basic knowledge of Java or Python
  • Experience with gRPC
  • Experience with Kafka, Nats
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with DataDog, understanding of metrics
