Device Department is engaged in the development of security and automation devices. It also faces serious challenges in the following areas:

• Low-Power: devices must work for as long as possible from standard batteries;
• Cost: the mass product must remain within the middle price segment;
• DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFH (Design for Human): circuit design, housings, and other elements should be easy to reproduce in hundreds of thousands of devices without loss of quality.

The development is mainly carried out for STM32 (but there are also other MCUs and SoCs), using Embedded C. A strong expertise and talented employees from Hardware and Embedded C engineers, industrial designers, and mechanical designers have already been assembled.

Tasks:

• Develop circuit solutions and printed circuit boards for new Ajax devices.
• Work on improving existing Ajax devices.
• Select component replacements, with a description of the necessary tests.
• Perform initial verification and debugging of prototypes (bring up).
• Bring projects to mass production (10,000+/month).

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Designing device circuitries: calculating circuit elements, conducting simulations of device operation.
• Designing printed circuit boards in Altium Designer.
• Designing devices taking into account certification requirements (LVD, EMC).
• Designing devices taking into account mass production requirements.
• Designing low-power devices.
• Designing network devices (230 VAC).
• Optimizing the cost of devices (unification of the component base, search for alternative components).
• Debugging prototypes, finding and eliminating problems in devices.
• Preparing documentation for the production of printed circuit boards and their assemblies.
• Working with version control systems (git).
• Level of English knowledge sufficient for fluent reading of accompanying documentation.

It Will Be a Plus:

• Experience in developing devices with streaming video (MIPI interface).
• Experience in working with the supply chain at large production volumes (10,000+/month).
• Experience in creating embedded software for modern platforms (STM32, etc.), sufficient for debugging your own development.
• Understanding the principles of signal integrity / power integrity in device design, as well as experience in modeling/characterization of topologies (S-parameters, PDN impedance).
