Routes Marketing Manager Pos – Latam

Reporting to the Manager, Routes Marketing POS International, the Routes Marketing Manager POS – LATAM is responsible for the planning, management, execution, performance, and quality of marketing campaigns that support Air Canada's leadership position across Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil and other LATAM markets; these campaigns would support travel to Canada (inbound flights to Canada, pos LATAM) as well as sixth freedom flights to the US, Europe and Asia.
The marketing position supports all POS LATAM markets in collaboration with the local GM's, raising awareness of the AC Brand and developing conversion-focused marketing strategies involving integrated owned and paid channel marketing plans, working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including Revenue Management, AC Media Desk, AC Sales, Tourism Partners, AC Analytics, Agencies, AC Studio, AC Sponsorships, Marketing Ops, AC Sales Communications and ACO/digital team.
The position requires a mix of strategic thinking and management skills. The candidate must possess excellent strategic and analytical skills, be innovative and creative, be able to maintain a relationship of trust with peers, partners, internal customers and external agencies and see a campaign from briefing through to completion and post campaign analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and lead development and execution of route support marketing campaigns and initiatives in owned and paid channels for the POS LATAM the portfolio including but not limited to mass and targeted campaigns (digital display, social, print, OOH, SEM, radio etc.)
- Work and build strong rapport with AC Sales and Revenue Management departments to identify and proactively solve upcoming route issues.
- Act as the marketing comms lead in collaboration with local AC Sales managers, business leads and other internal stakeholders for marketing strategies on key OTAs.
- Plan, manage and execute all marketing campaigns in partnership with Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO's) especially Destination Canada extending Air Canada's reach in LATAM markets.
- Lead regular marketing planning for all LATAM markets, maintain calendars and budget and actively contribute to the annual and quarterly communications planning process.
- Develop B2C marketing assets and content based on business and commercial inputs received from various internal stakeholders.
- Develop and execute CRM Strategy
- Propose marketing strategies and solutions including tactical mix, channel mix and messaging strategy working in collaboration with Revenue Management, Aeroplan Loyalty Management, Revenue Management and Sales departments to identify and proactively solve upcoming route issues.
- Monitor, analyze and report back on campaign results, demonstrating campaign ROI in collaboration with the Marketing Analytics team, deriving actionable insights for use in future campaigns and continually improve the effectiveness of marketing communication campaigns.
- Ensure brand identity and guidelines are respected.
- Accountable for ensuring accuracy, cohesiveness and legality of information contained in all communications.
- Regularly prepare presentations and participate in meetings with airline leadership to facilitate strategic decisions.
- Manage external service providers and agencies, oversee the marketing budget process.
- Act as a subject-matter expert to business units.
- Develop strong, cross-functional working relationships with other branches impacted by route support marketing initiatives.
- Think strategically to contribute to new ideas and best practices based on key industry trends and assist the conversion process with an analytical, insights driven approach.
- Prioritize projects and campaigns in keeping with corporate and commercial objectives.
- Juggle multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Actively monitor market trends and competitor activities.
- Provide support to Manager, Routes Marketing International as assigned.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent
- 8 -10 years of relevant experience
- Agency experience an asset
- Practical knowledge of digital media including social media channels
- Practical knowledge of Adobe Analytics desirable
- Service industry marketing experience an asset
- Must have the right to work in Mexico unrestricted

Linguistic Requirements Bilingual – Proficiency in grammar, spelling and punctuation in English and Spanish a must. Some skill in Portuguese will be an added advantage but not a must
