Airbus Defence and Space is a global leader in military aviation. We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to work in the interdisciplinary field of Weapon System Avionics. We are an international team within Eurofighter Attack & Ident Subsystem Engineering and we are responsible for the definition of the Eurofighter Attack Computer Requirements as well as for the prototyping of complex algorithms. We are dealing with Sensor Fusion, Sensor Management, Weapon Aiming and within the team we are working on a variety of content from generation of textual requirements, graphical modeling or advanced calculation methods using neural networks. Specifically we need your support for the upcoming requirements regarding Air to Surface Weapon Integration from an avionic perspective and intelligent assisted Management of available sensor resources.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Assess and review or identify Hazards on System/ Subsystem Level
Generate System Hazard Assessments Reports and Sub-System Safety Assessment Reports
Support the generation of LRI Processing Specification (LPS) w.r.t. Safety
Travel to customer and partner companies to discuss Safety related topics
Desired skills and qualifications
Master in Aeronautical Engineering or comparable
Ability to understand operational use of the System and requirement definitions
Ability to express and document complex issues in an understandable way
Knowledge and ability to work within an agile environment
Very good knowledge of Safety relevant functions
Good knowledge of processes and tools (DOORS, Statemate)
Knowledge about Eurofighter Weapon System
Understanding about work processes in Military environment
Understanding about System and Software development in aircrafts
Understanding about certification of flying Systems is an advantage
Knowledge about System (SW) Engineering Standards like ARP 4754a, Incose, Do178c
Knowledge about Requirements Management or Requirements Based Engineering (RBE) and Analysis
Knowledge about Eurofighter Avionics System employment is an advantage
