Summer Internship - Customer Line Operations & Shop Floor Control

Summer 2026 Interns

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for Summer 2026 Interns to join our Customer Line Industrial Integration Team based in Mobile, AL.

These positions are designed to provide students the opportunity to enhance their theoretical foundation through practical experience focused in several areas of the aviation manufacturing industry. Over the course of our 10-12 week internship program, participants will have the opportunity to:

• Work directly with a mentor in their field of study while finding solutions to real world problems

The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities help assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. On the shop floor you'll be surrounded by individuals who are passionate about aviation and skilled in areas like electrical, structure and quality. Your working environment on 'Airbus Way' will be at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges will include:

• Complete understanding of customer line operations and shop floor control (30%)
• Support project managers (30%)
• Support CL operations excellence (30%)
• Additional responsibilities: (10%)

Your boarding pass:

• Required: Willing to temporarily live in the Mobile, AL metro area during the internship. Must be enrolled in an applicable program at least at the undergraduate level at an accredited University. Completed 2 years of course work towards the terminus degree mentioned above. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written. Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft applications, strong knowledge of technical terms. Authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: School projects in related fields. Knowledge of project management. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated effective communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills in math and science. Ability to speak to large groups of people to present status reports. Fluent in French or German.

Physical requirements include: vision, hearing, speaking, equipment operation, carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling, sitting, squatting/kneeling, standing, travel, and walking. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without current or future need for visa sponsorship/work authorization.
