The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Cost Engineering Specialist – Aerostructure to join our Product Costing team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), working closely with Procurement, Program, and Engineering.

You will be part of the Product Costing team responsible for providing robust and neutral cost estimates to support business decisions, with a specific focus on Product Change Requests (PCRs), Design-to-Cost (DtC) and aircraft assembly processes.

Your role as Cost Engineering Specialist – Aerostructure will be to lead costing activities, analyse and challenge cost inputs, and support negotiation and strategy development with suppliers.

Your challenges:

• Perform cost estimates and projections using appropriate models, references, and tools;

• Analyze and challenge cost inputs from internal and external contributors;

• Identify cost-related risks and opportunities and propose optimization solutions;

• Support key processes such as operation plans, business cases, and make-or-buy decisions;

• Ensure consistency and credibility of deliverables with internal customers and suppliers;

• Lead gap analysis between supplier offers and internal cost estimates;

• Support negotiation strategy development and international supplier reviews;

• Promote knowledge sharing within the Product Costing and Airbus Costing communities.

Your profile:

• Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent;

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in engineering or cost estimation;

• Strong expertise in manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and industrial best practices;

• Technical knowledge of production technologies (5-axis machining, casting, forging, heat/surface treatments);

• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and CATIA;

• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills;

• Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively;

• Fluent in English.
