Simulation Model Engineer (F/M)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Simulation Model Engineer to join our Modelling & Simulation department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team in charge of developing real-time simulation products of the full aircraft systems (all ATA chapters and aircraft environment). As part of the Modelling and Multi-systems team you will be involved in the delivery of models of the aircraft system aiming at offering an adapted simulation environment to our end users needs (systems designers, ground testers, training devices manufacturers).

Your challenges:

  • Collecting, clarifying and challenging the needs of simulation products end-users who can be part of Design Office, System testing teams or Flight Simulators manufacturers

  • Specifying systems models in conformity with Simulation Technical Standards and end-users needs.

  • Following-up model development activities up to delivery, perform acceptance and ensure handover to simulation product integration teams

  • Validating the fidelity of simulation products to the aircraft system behavior

  • Providing support to end users

  • Managing your activity as a project by defining scope, planning, resources (subcontracting need), cost, subcontracting and ensuring follow-up of the project progress.

Your boarding pass:

  • Having a first professional experience (mandatory)

  • Real-time simulation knowledge

  • Aircraft systems and flight physics knowledge

  • Software project management with JIRA

  • Software development: C language, compilation, network communication protocols, Linux/windows OS and batch scripts, configuration management and devops (SVN, Jenkins)

  • Formal specification tools such as SCADE, Matlab SIMULINK

  • Advanced level of English
