A220 Commercial Aircraft Programme Stress Engineering Professional

Do you have experience in stress engineering, have you worked in airframe structure and would you like to progress and develop new skills? Then this job is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an airframe stress engineering professional to join our Stress Engineering - Cockpit & Fuselage team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will be part of a specialized group within the engineering team and will support the A220 aircraft program activities.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as airframe stress engineering professional will be to perform airframe static, fatigue, Finite Element Modeling and damage tolerance analysis of the fuselage cell.

Your challenges:

  • Perform airframe static and fatigue analysis.
  • Perform Finite Element Model analysis (FEM).
  • Perform damage tolerance analysis.
  • Carry out / review structural substantiation analyses of the airframe.
  • You may be asked to coordinate activities with structural partners.
  • As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be working closely with other departments including Liaison, Design, Projects and Airworthiness.

Your boarding pass:

  • You have a university degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering.
  • You have a minimum of eight to ten (8 to 10) years of relevant experience in airframe integrity substantiation.
  • A solid knowledge of NASTRAN, PATRAN, CATIA and MS Office is required.
  • Knowledge of NASGRO is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Google suite is an asset.
  • You must be able to work autonomously and be a good team player.
  • A good knowledge of the French and English languages (written and spoken) is required.
