Product Regulatory Compliance (PRC) Manager/Engineer (D/F/M)

In order to support the Team "Combat Training Aids Germany", Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Product Regulatory Compliance (PRC) Manager/Engineer. The PRC Manager/Engineer is responsible for delivering EU compliant products to our customers. The PRC Manager/Engineer is guided by the EU legislation and the Airbus internal PRC process landscape and supported by the Airbus PRC organization.

The PRC Manager/Engineer is working in the Airbus Services Combat Training department. The department is responsible for the Design, Development, Production and Service of Training Simulators.

Your tasks and responsibilities: Implement and Maintain PRC Compliance: Ensure effective communication and implementation of PRC requirements (legislations, standards, provisions) throughout all phases of simulation projects, maintaining compliance with Airbus DS relevant safety standards and the Airbus PRC process. System Review and Risk Management: Proactively review system design and infrastructure for product safety and compliance, conducting Hazard Analysis, and driving the identification and realization of PRC-related risks and opportunities for early risk reduction.

Safety and Conformity Assessments: Initiate necessary assessments, including electrical safety, mechanical safety, EMC and TEMPEST and ensure the generation of EU-Declarations of Conformity. Environmental and Software Compliance: Guarantee environmental compliance (ISO 14001, REACH, and RoHS) and manage FOSS/license assessments, acting as the key interface between engineering and FOSS assessors. Documentation, Reporting, and Collaboration: Create and maintain essential PRC Plans, Records, and related documents. Ensure strong collaboration and act as the primary interface to procurement, suppliers, project management, quality, ILS, and engineering. Report status information and issues to project and engineering management. Project Support: Provide dedicated support for bids related to training simulation projects

Desired skills and qualifications: Academic Qualification: Successfully completed Master's degree in Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. Relevant Professional Experience: 3-5 year of proven experience within product regulatory compliance field, ideally within within a highly regulated environment (e.g., Aerospace and Defence) Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with national and international safety and certification standards Mandatory Requirement: Demonstrated expertise in TEMPEST requirements, as well as familiarity with software compliance regulations Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical and regulatory matters to diverse stakeholder

Collaboration: Strong team orientation and the ability to work proactively and independently within an international and multidisciplinary environment Language Skills: Business-fluent German (written and spoken, min. C1 level), Fluent English (B2/C1 level written and spoken)
