A permanent job opportunity has arisen for a "Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Engineer" within Airbus Defence & Space to be based on Getafe site in Spain. The successful candidate will join the TADAM-2 department at the Combat and UAV area and will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team.
Platforms like Eurofighter, Eurodrone, FCAS or SiRTAP are under the scope of our work. The Mechanical System Installation team stands for Quality & Improvement related to Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control System, Equipment integration on aircraft among others.

The main activities of a Mechanical System integration & Design Engineer are related with delivering technical solutions in support of building, testing and delivering aircraft:
- Mechanical Systems definition from System Architecture
- Mechanical Components Specification for purchasing
- Mechanical Parts Documentation for Manufacturing
- Mechanical Systems Installation Documentation for assembling
- Interfacing with external partners and suppliers and communicating with corresponding stakeholders in design reviews, test reports and project follow-up meetings.

Required Competences & Skills:
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent

Desired Competences & Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in CATIA and PDM/PLM Tools, as well as the usual back office tools (Office...)
- Knowledge of aircraft systems & structures design
- Knowledge and/or experience in work linked to Aeronautical military projects.
- Professional experience as Engineer / Designer on Fluid Systems Installations (hydraulic, fuel, pneumatics, etc) and Equipment installations (sensor & antennas, lights and cameras, cockpit installations, etc.)
