In order to support A/C Control Domain in implementing and optimizing additive manufacturing solutions, Airbus Operations is looking for a master's student in the field of Hydro / Mechanical System Engineering (d/f/m) within additive manufacturing surfaces and their effect on the fatigue behavior of hydraulic components.
You are looking for a Master thesis and want to get to know the work of an A/C Control System Engineer (d/f/m)? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the A/C Control Domain as a master's student (d/f/m)!
Bremen is a charming city full of history in the northwest of Germany. In addition to being one of the country's greenest cities, it offers wonderful sights, a rich culture, urban flair and culinary delights. It's also a great place for seaside lovers, being located just an hour's drive from the North Sea coast.
Additive manufacturing technologies become more and more important for the Aerospace industry. Additive manufacturing is getting more mature for the Aerospace Industry. Lightweight and hydraulic optimized designs are now possible to manufacture much easier and faster.
The Master Thesis is focusing on hydraulic system parts which are highly pressure loaded components. To gain the full range of performance in terms of sizing it is mandatory to understand the behavior of the surface macro morphology and their corresponding fatigue life.
The aim of the Master Thesis is to evaluate the effect of different surface morphologies of additive manufactured hydraulic pipes.
The following tasks are part of the Master Thesis to assess the fatigue life of hydraulic AM Components:
