Airbus Commercial Aircraft Mass Properties Engineer

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Mass Properties Engineer to join our department Mass Properties based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team developing reliable data on mass properties throughout the marketing and customization phases, up to aircraft delivery.

As part of the Mass Properties Team, you will be involved in our mass properties studies supporting Marketing aiming at winning sales campaigns. Additionally, you will participate in the management of overall vehicle mass data (mass, center of gravity, inertia) during other phases of the aircraft's lifecycle (development, series aircraft). In a fully transnational environment, you will lead operational activities as well as transformation projects, in connection with the operational needs of Airline Marketing or Product Offer.

Your challenges:

  • Produce mass statements and loadability studies for airlines.
  • Manage overall aircraft mass data and understand mass properties (mass, center of gravity, inertia) throughout the aircraft's lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the development of new vehicles and the operational support of in-service vehicles and their decommissioning.
  • Define the mass status, target mass, and the path to achieve it.
  • Collaborate with many technical disciplines to understand and challenge the aircraft's design in the quest for optimal mass.

Your boarding pass:

  • You hold an engineering degree or equivalent.
  • You have a solid knowledge base and the ability to technically solve problems of simple to average complexity.
  • You are fluent in English (mandatory). French is appreciated.
  • You are capable of solving conceptual problems by combining different techniques.
  • You work autonomously and proactively.
