To support the "Data Center Technologies" department, Airbus Secure Land Communications GmbH is looking for an IT Security Engineer (w/m/d) in Ulm or Berlin.

Become part of the team implementing the technical modernization of German digital radio, the backbone of all emergency services in Germany.

Over a million users from police, fire departments, emergency services, and disaster management rely on this highly complex system. Work with our experts in radio technology, IT infrastructure, and network architecture to provide and implement the latest TETRA technology. Prepare this network for the transition to broadband technology LTE and 5G.

The demanding requirements for availability and integrity of the highly redundant German digital radio are unique: availability of over 99.95%, more than 99% coverage of Germany achieved through more than 4900 base stations.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Analysis and assessment of current IT security threats
• Conducting and evaluating IT vulnerability scans
• Development of IT security countermeasures for current IT security threats
• Conducting incident response and investigation measures
• Design and implementation of IT security solutions

Desired skills and qualifications:

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science or engineering (telecommunications, communications technology)
• You have initial professional experience in system engineering and have technical knowledge in the field of IT security (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewalls)
• You have verifiable experience through, for example, further training, certifications (e.g., CISSP, BSI IT-Grundschutz)
• You act in the team goal-oriented and systematically and approach problem-solving analytically
• You have very good German and English language skills
