Structure Integrator - In-Service Engineering

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Structure Integrator - In-Service Engineering to join our Customer Support team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada).

You will be part of the In-Service Engineering Structures Long Term Activities team responsible for developing and supporting long term solutions for technical and quality issues with the A220 structure. It is a small team that works closely with our customers and suppliers to improve the A220 fleet performance and reliability. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as In-Service Engineering Structures Integrator will be to identify and investigate in-service issues and together with Quality, Repair design team, Core engineering, and Material Support to provide mitigations and/or solutions for them.

Your challenges:

  • Actively support A220 operators by providing solutions to their requests related to the A220 structure and identify recurrent structures issues that impact our customers;

  • Investigate these issues reported on aircraft structures from both a quality and engineering point of view in order to obtain an overall view;

  • Work closely together with all impacted internal departments (quality, engineering, material support, etc) and external suppliers in order to develop solutions and provide mitigations to operators;

  • Ensure customer expectations are met in terms of reliability, quality and cost;

  • Investigate the recurrence of damages and propose long term solution;

  • Participate in the design reviews and support of structure modifications and evolutions;

  • Represent the A220 Customer Services organization in internal and external committees;

  • Participate in the continuous improvement initiatives of the Customer Services organization.

Your boarding pass:

  • You hold a Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering;

  • You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in an airline environment;

  • You have a good knowledge of CATIA V5 and Enovia;

  • You have a strong experience in aircraft structure, from a design, certification and/or operation point of view;

  • You have a good knowledge of MS Office softwares (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and Google Suite;

  • You are a dynamic person taking initiatives, with a strong sense of responsibility, customer oriented and with a good engineering judgment;

  • You are organized, able to manage your time effectively and prioritize tasks while working toward tight deadlines;

  • You have strong, written and spoken, communication skills in both English and French;

  • You have knowledge of the A220 engineering, drawing and configuration control systems (an asset);

  • You have detailed knowledge of airline operation, engineering and maintenance (an asset);

  • You have knowledge in composite materials (an asset).

This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide).
