FSTD Engineering Intern

Airbus India Training Centre Private Limited (AITC) is committed to 'Skill India' and has entered into a joint venture with Air India to launch a world-class pilot training center in Gurugram, Haryana. This joint venture will offer A320 and A350 flight training to thousands of new pilots over the next decade. Our ambition is to become a world-leading aviation academy in South Asia, positively impacting operations and safety standards for Air India and other Airbus operators in the region.

Role Overview: We're looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic FSTD Engineering Intern to join our technical team. This is a unique opportunity for a recent engineering graduate with a passion for aviation and technology to gain hands-on experience in the maintenance and operation of Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTDs). You'll work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to the seamless operation and reliability of our state-of-the-art training simulators.

What You'll Learn and Do: As an FSTD Engineering Intern, you'll be involved in a wide range of activities under the guidance of our senior engineers and team leads. Your main activities will include: Maintenance & Operations, Troubleshooting, Technical Support, Reporting & Communication.

  • Maintenance & Operations: You'll assist with daily simulator operations, including morning readiness checks, pre-flight preparations, and version changes. You'll help perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure our devices maintain their high-quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting: You'll learn to perform basic on-the-spot troubleshooting and assist in resolving technical discrepancies reported by instructors and customers. This will teach you how to analyze and solve problems in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Technical Support: You'll support the technical team by helping to maintain records of parts and spare parts and by assisting with minor internal repairs. You'll also learn to assist with software updates and recurrent qualification tests for the devices.
  • Reporting & Communication: You'll contribute to the team's reporting efforts, providing accurate information on your activities and observations to help senior engineers and managers track device performance and identify areas for improvement. You'll also learn the importance of effective communication by interacting with instructors and senior staff.

Who We're Looking For: This is an internship position designed for someone with little to no prior professional experience.

  • Education: A recent graduate with a diploma or degree in Electronics or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Skills & Attitude: Eager to learn, Team Player, Customer-focused, Problem-solver, Work Ethic.
