Airbus Defence & Space is working on a new satellite based communication system. The constellation of satellites will offer connectivity to the customer, allowing connecting elements through satellite RF and optical links.
In order to actively monitor and control the Mission configuration for the communication chain, a set of new tools is under development at Airbus DS. Such tools will allow actively managing the overall communication chain, including Space and Ground assets, in order to reach the needed coverage and performances.
As a Ground Segment Software IVV Engineer, you are responsible for the Integration, Verification and Validation of the Software which will allow the Mission and Payload Management. The Software will be partly developed internally within the team and will be partly subcontracted to internal and external subcontractors. The application to be developed consists of a set of SW Modules which allow the simulation, commanding and monitoring of a cutting-edge Payload, as well as the overall traffic configuration. You will be in charge of contributing to the definition of the IVV Plan and Reports as well as performing general Software Design, Development and IVV tasks.
Your range of tasks will cover the entire Software Development lifecycle, from Requirements definition, Software Design and IVV. Your activities will be performed in close cooperation with the System Engineers, the SW Architect, the SW developers and the sub-contractors. The holder of this position will be located at Ottobrunn and reports to the Software Lead.
