This unique programme not only offers you a Level 3 hands-on framework, but together with vocational training and placements focusing on maintenance methodologies, sustainability, health and safety, and contract management, you will develop high engineering skills recognized across the globe. From there, your next steps will be moving into Facilities Management where you will learn how to coordinate and manage a team of maintenance professionals to conduct essential work across our facilities.

BUILDING SERVICES, ENGINEERING SERVICE & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Level 3 qualification provided by GLP Training. Based on our Stevenage Site for the Apprenticeship timeline with 2 days working at GLP training facility in Worcester every quarter.
Outward Bounds!
During the 2nd year of the apprenticeship, you will attend a week of Team Building Activities and Exercises at one of the Outward Bounds UK Sites. Split up into teams consisting of Apprentices of all levels from various Airbus Defence & Space sites, you will work as a team to complete daily activities such as Rock Climbing, Hiking, Abseiling, Canoeing and more.
This isn't just about ticking boxes โ it's about growing into a confident, future-ready professional who makes a real impact. Along the way, you'll combine theory with hands-on practice, supported by experienced mentors and a team that values innovation, safety, and excellence.

Important Information: GOVERNMENT FUNDING: This job is offered as a government funded Apprenticeship, subject to eligibility for Apprenticeship Levy Funding. To qualify applicants must meet certain criteria - such as not already holding a qualification at the same or higher level in the same subject area and be eligible under current Apprenticeship funding rules. This job may be particularly suitable for school or college leavers looking to take their first step into the Aerospace industry, though all eligible applicants are welcome to apply. SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
