An opportunity for an EME (ElectroMagnetic Effects) Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
Military aircrafts, specially those with mission role, are fitted with a significant number of RF systems on-board like CNI, Surveillance, Mission systems (Datalinks, EW, etc,...) requiring being protected electromagnetics effects generated by other co- installed systems and external environment (lightning, HIRF, NEMP, structural electrostatic discharge, etc,...).
EME Systems engineering is a key discipline that ensures proper aircraft electromagnetic protection, guides system and structural designers in the application of EME requirements within structural design and systems integration and shows compliance with certification and/or qualification requirements (this last, when applicable), with the aim of ensuring aircraft safety and mission against such a kind of threats.
The selected candidate will join the team in charge of managing the disciplines of electromagnetic protection for aircraft structures and systems and antenna integration. The candidate will be part of multicultural and multidisciplinary team working in different military programs under our product portfolio, reinforcing the team in order to ensure the implementation of complex design solutions within different challenging military projects, covering all the complete development V cycle: from customer/airworthiness requirements capture to aircraft certification, aircraft delivery and in-service aircraft support.
