Electrical Simulation Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Simulation Engineer (f/m) to join our Electrical Systems Department based in Getafe, Spain.

Airbus has defined ambitious objectives in terms of decarbonation (via propulsion electrification) as well as digitalisation & simulation to prepare the next generation of aircraft. We are looking for candidates who will actively contribute to both of these challenges.

You will join a transverse team leading the simulation activities across the electrical department.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Collecting the various simulation needs and writing the model specification
  • Liaising with designers teams (including external suppliers) to gather the necessary technical data
  • Determining the relevant modelling methodology
  • Developing the model under Matlab
  • Validating the model with available testing data
  • Delivering the model to run integrated simulations

Your mission will expand to other electrical systems components modelling as required by the different projects you will be involved in. In your daily challenge, you will be supported by the network of experts and specialists.

Your background includes:

  • Graduate engineer or equivalent with experience on electrical simulation (SABER, MATLAB)
  • Familiarity with simulation processes and tools
  • Ability to deal with a great variety of subjects
  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and collaborate with transnational teams
  • Curiosity to learn and love technical challenges
  • English (negotiation level)
