Electrical Harness Design Engineer
A job opportunity as Electrical Harness Design Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid).
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement electrical harnesses designs for various aircraft systems, adhering to stringent aerospace standards and specifications.
- Utilize CAD CATIA for 3D modeling, routing, and detailed design of electrical harnesses and associated components.
- Apply design thinking methodologies to solve complex engineering challenges and optimize harness configurations for performance, manufacturability, and maintainability.
- Oversee and participate in the system installation and integration of electrical harnesses within the airframe, ensuring proper fit, form, and function.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including stress engineers, manufacturing, and systems engineers, throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct design reviews, analyze technical requirements, and provide solutions for design modifications and improvements.
- Support the resolution of manufacturing and in-service issues related to electrical harnesses.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and tools.
Skills
- Educated in Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related/alternative discipline.
- Proven experience in Airframe Design, specifically related to electrical harness integration (0-1 year).
- Proficiency in CAD CATIA for electrical harness design and routing.
- Demonstrated experience in applying Design thinking principles to engineering challenges.
- Strong understanding of System installation and integration processes within an aerospace context.
- Excellent Team spirit & Team work skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations related to electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
