Design Engineer (D/F/M) for Structure Repairs

Join our In-Service Engineering department at Airbus Commercial and become our next expert for structure repairs. We are the first point of contact for our customers worldwide when it comes to analyzing and repairing damaged aircraft structures, with a special focus on ATA57 High Lift & Wing components. Your expertise will ensure our fleet remains airworthy.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve "in-service requests" from Airbus customers regarding structural damage.
- Develop, formulate, and present technical solutions for in-service requests, including descriptions, sketches, and detailed repair proposals.
- Create constructive structural analyses and instructions to support the repair process.
- Provide immediate solutions for AOG (Aircraft on Ground) damage and repairs as part of our on-call service, ensuring minimal disruption to flight operations.
- Review and approve repair drawings and documents from suppliers and external companies (with necessary signature delegation).
- Collaborate with international interfaces to coordinate and implement technical solutions.
- Support customers directly on-site at maintenance stations and airlines for large-scale repairs.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- A degree in Aircraft Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a completed apprenticeship in aeronautics with a follow-on qualification as a technician and significant professional experience in aircraft repair design.
- Proven professional experience in aircraft repair design.
- Advanced knowledge of High Lift & Wing components, including design principles for manufacturing and key airworthiness design requirements.
- Experience with both metallic and composite primary structures.
- Advanced proficiency with Catia V4/V5 and a solid understanding of Google Workspace.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel worldwide to customer facilities.
- Ability to participate in an on-call standby service for AOG cases.
