Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance and Technical Documentation Engineer in Propulsion Systems (f/m) to join our Customer Services Department based in Toulouse, France.

It is an ideal role for someone who wants to develop core aircraft maintenance skills and willing to work in a dynamic environment with customer focus. Airbus Customer Services, Technical Data is in charge of delivering to the customer the maintenance manuals which is a critical component of the aircraft (A/C) delivery. Our Operational Unit produces, delivers and supports aircraft maintenance documentation directly used by the customers (airlines, MRO Maintenance Repair Operations, lessors). It will enable the safe and efficient accomplishment of aircraft maintenance operations all along its life cycle, in accordance with airworthiness requirements and regulations. To achieve this, we are continuously interfacing - both externally and internally - with our suppliers. This interaction starts at the beginning of A/C development and continues along the A/C evolution. Our main objective is to secure the completeness of the maintenance instructions (Instructions for Continued Airworthiness) at the A/C delivery. You will work within a team which has technical expertise on Nacelle & Propulsion systems. This team's main challenge is to ensure that the maintenance manuals reflect the aircraft design changes and to understand the immediate impact of these changes on customers operations, with the objective to provide customized documentation in accordance with aircraft configuration. Your mission will be to undertake this challenge in order to fully answer customers' maintenance expectations. For this mission, you won't be alone; you will join a team in charge of maintenance manuals, including the AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual), TSM (Trouble Shooting Manual) and IPC (Illustrated Part catalogue), where you will be trained and supported. You will be responsible for the Engine and Nacelle perimeters for Airbus programs for AMM and TSM in the first place. Your challenges:

Production Management

  • Leading of all the authoring activities (internal and external) related to the AMM and TSM for the propulsions systems, guaranteeing on-quality, on-time delivery,
  • Weekly analysis of Airbus Design Office Data (drawings & design modifications...) to define the impact on the maintenance manuals delivered to the airlines
  • Management of the Engine and Nacelle manufacturers' source data including the delivery planning, the quality verification and the final incorporation in Airbus maintenance manuals,
  • Monitoring and steering of subcontracted maintenance authoring activities,
  • Organizing and chairing of periodic technical reviews with Engine/Nacelle manufacturers and local subcontractors, managing workload and priorities,
  • Control and challenge our subcontractors and suppliers performances, including the request and the follow-up of any necessary recovery action plan,
  • Accountability of the aircraft maintenance instructions delivery (creation and updates) in full compliance with the specifications, the requirements, the safety rules, the contractual commitments, the approved schedules, the quality standards and within the budget objectives,
  • Identification and escalation of any risk related to priority, cost and quality.

Customer support

  • Ensuring Customer efficient support by answering daily customer queries and implementation of maintenance instructions changes when necessary,
  • Ensuring Customer support respecting the defined performance requirements,
  • Animating meetings with customers when necessary.

Transverse Responsibilities

  • Being a key actor for the continuous improvement plan for Technical Data processes, documentation production activities, and IT Tools,
  • Being referent for aircraft maintenance, Tech Data methods and processes,
  • Contribute to Tech Data project,
  • Active contribution to transverse Tech Data activity(ies) with the aim to support all SIDY23 team

Your boarding pass:

  • Minimum Master degree or Engineer with a minimum of 8 years experience
  • Strong Knowledge of Aeronautics, Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Systems (including Propulsion systems)
  • Dynamic, Proactive with a Positive mindset
  • Good team player and good organizational skills
  • Communication skills and assertiveness
  • Risk and opportunity management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership
  • Curious and open-minded for changes and continuous improvement
  • Advanced level in English (Bright Test - C1 level)
