Export Control Officer (ECO)

An opportunity for an Export Control Officer (ECO) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Spain, to be in charge of Air Power Services Repairs activities.

The selected candidate will join the Export Control team in Airbus Defence and Space Spain, with a functional link to Air Power Services Component MRO (Repairs) function.

The ECO acts as the point of contact for advising on export licensing requirements or answering export control related questions and must provide guidance on the implementation of the applicable national, EU and U.S. export control regulations to the program or project.

The ECO initiates and conducts Export Control Awareness Trainings for his/her program(s) and project(s).

The ECO is responsible for monitoring existing national and U.S. export control licenses and their usage to determine if they require any renewal or amendments prior to expiration and to ensure any export control license reporting obligations are fulfilled.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, update and enforce the end-to-end export control process. Prepare export control documentation in order to get timely clearance for export.
  • Monitor and update list of products, documentation, equipment, components and/or parts subject to export restriction.
  • Apply for Export Licenses to the national authorities and to the US authorities.
  • Support and coordinate actions of the supply chain.
  • Provide permanent advice and support, and deliver training to business functions concerned.
  • Ensure permanent intelligence on « end use(r) » countries or customers.
  • Continuously improve the performance of the export control function, including training, surveys, etc.
  • Issue internal directives for export compliant processes.
