Cabin Module Engineer (F/M)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cabin Module Engineer to join our STC Solutions Programme / Customer Services based in Toulouse, France.

STC Solutions Programme is an integrated team, human sized and colocalized, with Engineering, Airworthiness, Project Management, Quality, Procurement, Logistics…, which values the One Team, One Goal.

We deliver Cabin and Cabin Systems upgrade solutions (SB*, ICA* and kits) certified through Airbus STC, to airlines and lessors for the modification of their in-service aircrafts, through our dedicated: Team, Processes, Suppliers and Means (dedicated Kit Factory).

Integrated in the STC Solutions Programme cabin engineering team, our STC Cabin Module Engineer is responsible and accountable for the management of Cabin equipment Development relevant tasks and the validation of all deliverables relative to his activities.

Depending on scope of projects, and due to operational requests, the job holder may also manage complementary activities such as retrofit project management, kits management, and/or management of external stakeholders involved in the projects (Customer, MROs, manufacturers…).

Your challenges:

Integrated to Multi-Functional Teams addressing Cabin Systems upgrades projects on various programs (SA, LR, DD, WB, XWB), you are responsible for following missions:

  • Support cost & pricing assessment for offers.

  • RFQ (Request for Quotation) preparation.

  • Project Technical Architecture phase:

    • Is responsible/accountable of Equipment development Specification

    • Support the supplier Selection

    • Identification of all Deliverables relative to Equipment development, schedule, costs & risks

  • Project Development Phase:

    • Coordination of all design & justification activities relative to Equipment development and justification.

    • Follow-up and validation of Supplier deliverables, schedule, cost & risks

    • Follow-up and/or coordination of Equipment manufacturing phase.

    • Support the First Article Inspection.

  • Working Party phases / Installations on A/C:

    • Ensure the support/answer to Defect Reports relatives to Equipment installation

  • In-Service Support & Continuous Airworthiness:

    • When required, support for in-service queries and/or requests from the A/C operator.

  • Kits Management:

    • Coordination with Supply Chain activities for sourcing & contracting of suppliers

    • Follow-up of Equipment kits deliverables, schedule, cost & risks

Your boarding pass:

  • Required hard skills:

    • Educated to Master level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline and minimum 5 years of professional experience

    • Airbus aircrafts general knowledge

    • Excellent practice of English, both written and spoken,

    • Know-How and Experience in Cabin Equipment/Modules development and integration on A/C

    • Knowledge of Airbus method and tool (VT3, CATIAV5)

    • Knowledge in General Regulation Requirements - CS25

    • Knowledge in Technical Project management

    • Basics knowledge in configuration management

    • Fluent in English

    • Fluent in French

  • Soft Skills:

    • Adaptable,

    • Proactive,

    • Ability to organize, structure your daily work in the team and manage multiple tasks in parallel

    • Develop and maintain a high level of collaborative work with the involved stakeholders,

    • Synthesis ability,

This role may involve some occasional worldwide travels for business. Possible on-call duties during week-ends and/or holiday seasons
