We are looking for a Fleet Structural Support Heavy Repair engineer to come onboard in our Structures Fleet Support Department in Benjamin Bezes's team: a team of 5 collaborators!

Your Mission

As a Fleet Support Engineer, you are responsible for:

  • Carry out the design of structural repairs for complex issues requiring prompt resolution. Providing support for minor and major repairs required by clients on a longer-term support basis.
  • Investigate the existence of previous cases of damage and similar repairs to ensure consistent support.
  • Develop generic repair procedures to effectively address recurring issues.
  • Customer and Stakeholder Liaison: Employing communication skills to effectively liaise with customers and internal stakeholders. Oversee the entire lifecycle of global critical queries, from initial receipt to full resolution, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Design Organization Engagement: Actively participating in Design Organization activities by preparing and releasing critical approval documents (such as Technical Adaptation and Structural Repair Approval Sheets) under Part21J delegation.
  • Subcontractor Supervision: Managing the portfolio of subcontractors, ensuring clear work specifications/rules/criteria, expectations and systematic monitoring of OTD/OQD. A strong technical background allows for thorough technical checks, ensuring high standards.
  • Taking part in on-site damage assessment missions to evaluate the structural integrity of in-service aircraft subjected to potentially severe damage scenarios (engine fire, hard landing, runway excursion, ground collision, etc.).
  • Providing on-site technical support for major repairs and/or replacements carried out either by clients or by ATR Part 145 teams, as required.

About You

  • Educational Background: Master's degree (Bac +5) in aeronautical structures or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 6 years in aircraft structure stress analysis or repair. Demonstrated expertise in complex structural repair and support, with a track record of successful problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in aircraft structures (preferably ATR structures).
    • Expertise in aircraft structural repair principles (both metallic and composite).
    • In-depth knowledge of metallic and composite materials.
    • Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods.
    • Knowledge of Leonardo / Airbus drawings is a plus.
  • Language Skills:
    • Proficiency in English (B2 level).
    • Italian is a plus.
  • IT Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Familiarity with ATR IT tools (CRM, SAMONIT, GILDA) is advantageous.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Autonomous and rigorous with strong organizational skills.
    • Open-minded, positive thinking, and an excellent team player.
    • Strong customer orientation, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, and provide tailored solutions.
    • Specific Constraints: the position will require participation in stand-by duties during evening, night and weekends.
