About The Role
Join the cutting-edge team building the build/test/release infrastructure to power fleet-scale humanoid robotics. As a senior engineer on the build & release team, you will design & implement core features and products to accelerate our software development lifecycle across the entire company. You will be joining a small and rapidly growing build and release team. Your work will empower our robotics software, cloud software, and test teams with tools, systems, and processes to develop and operationalize robot and edge devices software at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Vision: Create and build new tools to support adjacent teams as part of the build & release engineering group to simplify the software development lifecycle.
- Collaboration: You will partner with robot software, cloud software, devops, software quality & test, and product for developing new tools and products.
- Execution:
- Design and implement software solutions for deploying software to robots and other edge devices
- Support and improve our robot software build system (bazel)
- Develop tools to support development and test teams
What We're Aiming For
- Full CI/CD platform for robot & edge software
- Autoscaling build system to minimize time developers spend waiting
- Support multiple builds/artifacts for software developers
- Enable multiple layers of automated testing include accelerated compute
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or software infrastructure experience with a demonstrated track record of building CI/CD pipelines and build systems.
- Expertise in modern build systems (bazel/blaze, buck/buck2).
- Significant experience github actions, kubernetes, ArgoCD
- Familiarity with C++ and Python based systems and polyglot codebases
- Strong proficiency with cloud-native tooling (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containers, and IaC (e.g., CDK, Terraform)
- Expertise with git, Github, and related technologies
- Experience working cross-functionally with embedded software, cloud software, and platform teams.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones or embedded software.
- Experience migrating existing solutions to new architectures
- Experience with Go & JavaScript/TypeScript
