We are seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Senior Engineer to provide hands-on operational support, optimisation, and expertise across our AVD estate. This role is pivotal in ensuring a stable, secure, and high-performing virtual desktop platform, while enabling internal teams through robust documentation and knowledge transfer.
Working closely with Cloud Architects, Engineering Leads, Security, and Service Delivery teams, you will help drive improvements in performance, governance, scalability, and automation. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and is confident operating with minimal supervision.
OPPORTUNITY
This contract role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in stabilising, enhancing, and future-proofing our Azure Virtual Desktop estate. You will help shape best-practice standards, uplift operational capabilities, and support strategic development of our virtual desktop services.
You will be an experienced AVD specialist with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and the confidence to drive meaningful technical improvements. You will also bring excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
