Job Description
As an Application Engineer for LC/LCMS, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales and customer success teams by providing technical expertise and application support for our Chromatography Mass Spectrometry products. You will work closely with customers to understand their analytical needs, provide demonstrations of our product and solutions, and offer guidance on method development and optimization. This role requires a combination of scientific knowledge, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to;
- Responsible for providing technical & application support, including Demo and sample analysis for Agilent analytical instruments to potential customers in markets of Biopharma/Proteomics/Pharma/Food etc. at identified locations at PAN India level
- Deliver workshops/seminar on-site as well at COE labs /other venues
- Cost & time effective application method deployment on Agilent instruments
- Promptly troubleshoot method/technology transfers issues from one instrument to another.
- Lead projects requiring coordination with other functions & customers
- Deliver product seminars for customers, prospects, and employees.
- Training of internal & external team and provide technical support.
- Respond promptly to related customer queries & help in prompt resolution of customer escalations along with CSO
- Participate in programs to stimulate demand for all Agilent range of products/services and ensure timely and proper execution of those programs.
- Co-ordinate internally with all the field sales team and Managers to ensure that the key customers are delighted.

Below is the details of this role requirement:
- Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the sales team to engage with customers and understand their analytical challenges and requirements. Provide technical support and consultation to help customers select the most suitable LCMS solutions for their applications.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and features of our LCMS systems. Customize demonstrations to align with customer needs and demonstrate the value proposition of our solutions.
- Method Development: Assist customers in developing and optimizing analytical methods using LCMS technology. Provide guidance on sample preparation, chromatographic separation, mass spectrometry detection, and data analysis techniques.
- Training and Education: Deliver training sessions and workshops for customers to enhance their understanding of LCMS principles, instrumentation, and software. Develop educational materials such as application notes, technical guides, and training videos.
- Application Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to LCMS applications, troubleshooting, and data interpretation. Provide timely and effective support to address customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and customer support to communicate customer feedback, identify market trends, and contribute to product enhancements and new product development initiatives.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging applications of LCMS technology. Use market insights to identify opportunities for business growth and innovation.
- Customer Success: Work proactively to ensure the success of customers by providing ongoing support, guidance, and follow-up. Build strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and drive customer retention and expansion.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Instrumentation/Pharmacy/Biotechnology/Life Science or equivalent
- Relevant basic/theoretical knowledge of analytical instruments like LC/LCMS/QTOF, GC/GCMS, ICPOES/MS, UV/FTIR, qPCR, Tape Station, Bioanalyzer etc.##
- Experience 18-24 months
- Candidate should enjoy travelling and visiting customers.
- Excellent numerical, verbal and written communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills along with good organizational & negotiation skills.
