The ServiceNow Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and daily operation of the agency's ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) platform. This role ensures that ServiceNow effectively supports the agency's help desk, incident management, request fulfillment, knowledge management, asset management, and reporting functions. The ServiceNow Administrator works closely with Tier 1–3 IT support teams, process owners, and leadership to implement workflows, maintain data integrity, and improve IT service delivery.
Planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing all technical tasks related to configuration and implementation of all aspects of the ServiceNow platform necessary for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 services.
Providing software coding and configuration services including, but not limited to screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, scripting, third-party software integrations, and custom application development as needed.
Creating and maintaining service catalog items and workflows.
Designing and implementing automated workflows to streamline processes.
Integrating ServiceNow with other systems and tools.
Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards for various stakeholders.
Providing training and support to end-users and other administrators.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices.
Creating and maintaining system design and operations documentation.
Advising on the impact of any proposed changes to the ServiceNow environment.
Providing ServiceNow administration, sustainment, and subject matter expert support.
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Experience: 3–5 years of ServiceNow administration experience in a mid-to-large enterprise.
Technical Skills:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-ITSM, CIS-Knowledge, or CIS-Service Catalog).
ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification.
Experience supporting federal IT environments and compliance with FISMA/NIST requirements.
Must pass background investigation.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
