The Role
We're looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you'll design and maintain data systems that power operations across the enterprise. You'll be hands-on with SQL Server, ETL development, and Power BI, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, accurate, and accessible data.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases for performance and reliability.
- Develop ETL pipelines (C# or Python) to integrate data from multiple sources (flat files, JSON, XML, APIs, EDI, databases).
- Build and support Power BI dashboards for insights in finance, inventory, forecasting, and more.
- Manage database administration tasks including indexing, backups, query tuning, and security.
- Collaborate with IT, developers, and business teams to streamline workflows and automation.
- Promote data quality, consistency, and accessibility across systems and departments.
- Act as a technical mentor and data expert within the IT team.
- Support ERP system management (Microsoft Dynamics GP) to ensure accurate data recording.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.
- Strong skills in C# or Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience integrating data from multiple formats (flat files, JSON, XML, APIs, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of data modeling and relational design.
- Proficiency with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred).
- Strong English communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Automate, SharePoint, or Teams.
- Exposure to AI/ML or predictive analytics.
- Background in foodservice, logistics, or inventory-heavy industries.
