Salary: $120K to $150K

About Our Client

Our client is a neuroscience-based technology company dedicated to transforming health behavior change through a simple, positive, and evidence-based approach. Their platform leverages the science of habit formation—focusing on mindset, practice, and iteration—to help users build healthy habits without the pressure or fear of failure. By removing guesswork and emphasizing continuous improvement, the company empowers individuals to become unstoppable in their pursuit of better health. In their philosophy, there is no “failure”—only practice and iteration.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled AI Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain intelligent, scalable AI systems that directly enhance product functionality and user experience. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to take AI-driven features from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Build, train, and validate machine learning models (classification, forecasting, recommendation systems) using real-world datasets.

  • End-to-End MLOps: Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines, integrating CI/CD, model monitoring, model versioning, and scalability best practices.

  • Prototyping & Deployment: Rapidly prototype AI features and deploy production-ready solutions.

  • Performance Optimization: Conduct hyperparameter tuning and optimize models for accuracy, latency, throughput, and resource efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into practical, high-impact AI solutions. Document methodologies and communicate results clearly.

  • Ethics, Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure fairness, interpretability, and regulatory compliance. Implement monitoring to detect model drift, bias, and performance degradation.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience:

    • 2–4 years in machine learning, AI, or similar engineering roles, with hands-on experience deploying models into production.

    • Prior experience in startups or 0-to-1 product environments.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of NLP, generative AI, and LLMs (e.g., LangChain).

    • Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Spark, etc.

    • Strong data engineering skills: ETL pipelines, SQL/NoSQL, data preprocessing.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and communication abilities, teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Industry certifications (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, Google ML Engineer).

  • Experience in healthcare or wellness domains.

  • Experience working with personalization models/engines.

  • Background in small teams or early-stage organizations.
