1st Shift Mig/Tig Welder

We are seeking a skilled welder responsible for performing Mig and Tig welding to construct boxes for conveyor systems. The role involves setting up and executing all-position welding on a variety of standard weldments and structures, adhering to code certifications, alignment, and inspection requirements. The welder will work from drawings and must have a comprehensive understanding of welding techniques, including the ability to measure, make setups, and use Mig, Tig, and Plasma proficiently to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Mig and Tig welding to fabricate boxes for conveyor systems.
  • Measure and cut steel as necessary.
  • Conduct setup and execute all-position welding on standard weldments and structures.
  • Fit and position weldments with multiple parts according to prescribed techniques.
  • Work from technical drawings and adhere to welding code certifications.
  • Utilize inspection tools for quality checks.
  • Work independently while applying knowledge of welding principles and techniques.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Mig and Tig welding with a minimum of 2+ years of experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with quality inspection and usage of inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of welding principles and techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Successfully pass a weld test: Vertical down and up for Mig .045 and a Horizontal pass for Tig using specified materials.

Work Environment

The work environment is a typical manufacturing facility that is well-lit but not climate-controlled. The position operates on the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime offered prior to the shift start, totaling approximately 45 hours a week. No weekend work is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
