Warehouse Worker

We are seeking a dedicated warehouse worker to join our team at a busy distribution center. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and efficient handling of goods.

Responsibilities

• Control the flow of shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to shipping and receiving office associates for processing.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
• Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, rack location, or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or designated route driver storage area.
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments

Essential Skills

• Relevant 1 year of experience working in a warehouse
• Ability to lift bins up to 50lbs
• Ability to count parts accurately
• Proficiency with handheld scanners

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a nice-to-have

Work Environment

The facility is a clean warehouse distribution center that fosters a team environment. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Proper safety attire is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Roseville, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
