Warehouse Associate
The Warehouse Associate accurately picks, packs, moves, and stores materials within the facility while operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. This role supports daily order fulfillment, basic assembly, and inventory activities, ensuring products are prepared correctly and safely for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Pick and check customer orders accurately as directed by the supervisor or lead, following all documented procedures.
- Pick and pack a variety of materials into cartons or boxes, including wrapping items as required, inserting dividers or blocking to prevent shifting, and counting and verifying contents against order documentation before sealing.
- Perform routine assembly of standard products with limited variations and a small number of components, following established work instructions.
- Stock products in designated storage locations, planning storage layouts and determining proper placement of goods to maximize space utilization and support efficient retrieval.
- Operate reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks to move product safely and efficiently throughout the building.
- Assist team members in retrieving products from storage locations using the reach truck to fulfill customer orders as needed.
- Support other forklift operators with loading and unloading trucks, including performing putaway of finished goods into appropriate warehouse locations.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of experience operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Previous forklift and reach truck experience in a warehouse setting.
- Previous warehouse experience with order picking and packing responsibilities.
- Ability to perform picker/packer duties, including accurate order selection, packing, and verification.
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use a computer to print pick sheets and shipping documents.
- Ability to safely operate reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to walk, stand, and be on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and perform constant twisting, bending, and hand gripping.
- Ability to see, hear, and use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms to perform warehouse tasks.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times and following all safety procedures.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
