Food Services Worker

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for up to 140 residents, ensuring quality and nutrition standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas by washing dishes and busing tables.
• Assist with food preparation, tray line service, and operate as a barista when necessary.
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and guests, enhancing their dining experience.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food service or fast-food environments.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to stand on feet for extended periods during shifts.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including availability to work every other weekend.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retirement community or similar setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation and hospitality practices.

The role is based at a retirement home community in Wichita, KS, specifically within Ascension Living Via Christi Village. The work schedule alternates between 7 AM to 7 PM and 6 AM to 6 PM shifts, providing a structured yet dynamic workday. Employees are expected to work every other weekend, providing a balance of work and personal time. The facility offers a fast-paced environment where teamwork and flexibility are key to success.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

The pay range for this position is $15.00/hr.
