Plastic Injection Line Leader - 2nd Shift
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Line Leader to join our production team. This role involves assisting with the management and maintenance of a designated section of the production line, ensuring smooth operations from raw materials to finished goods. The Line Leader will be instrumental in upholding quality, safety, process efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Drive daily throughput of product manufactured in the area of responsibility.
- Maintain awareness of inventory to ensure adequate stock and compliance with quality, quantity, packaging, and labeling requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the production team, providing guidance and materials as needed.
- Conduct hourly checks on work cells to ensure achievement of quality and production goals.
- Prepare and report shift and daily production totals.
- Ensure proper use and care of equipment, requesting repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Organize and provide training for employees on their work assignments.
- Assist in problem-solving for employees on the production floor.
- Work overtime as required.
- The position is primarily for the 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM) with potential for longer training hours (3 PM - 3 AM).
Essential Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in production, quality, or a leadership role.
- 1-3 years of experience in plastics/injection molding.
- Hi-lo/material handling experience.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Experience with Auto Line is essential.
- Ability to give direction and monitor employees.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, team management, and production scheduling.
- Familiarity with handling plastics.

Work Environment
This role operates within a manufacturing facility focused on producing carpeted products for the automotive industry, particularly for the Dodge Ram. The facility houses approximately 25 employees and features advanced machinery, including a new 70-foot extrusion machine.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr.
