Commercial Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician

We are seeking a Commercial Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician to support the performance, reliability, and safety of commercial-scale solar PV systems. Pay is $35/hr

Must reside within the Los Angeles and Valley area- Must be within driving distance of projects (Los Angeles, Van Nuys, etc.)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on commercial solar PV systems
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and system performance verification
• Support corrective maintenance activities under the guidance of lead technicians
• Monitor systems for faults and escalate issues as needed
• Conduct site walks, visual inspections, and basic electrical measurements
• Maintain accurate service logs, documentation, and reporting
• Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO, PPE, and site-specific requirements
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to multiple site locations

Qualifications

• Commercial string wire testing and troubleshooting
• Commercial inverter testing and troubleshooting
• Commercial inverter replacement
• Experience using of DMM for testing
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude (hand tools, meters, safety basics)
• Ability to work at heights, in outdoor environments, and on solar arrays
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Prior experience in solar construction

This is a Contract position based out of Ontario, CA.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
