Service Technician

We are currently hiring for a highly reputable equipment company based out of King George, VA. The service technician would handle the DC territory which ranges from Northern MD to South Carolina. Service truck and company card will be provided. You will receive an additional $2/hr while on the road and are guaranteed home on the weekends.

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and disassembling components on large drilling and foundation piling equipment. This includes working on hydraulic cylinders, diesel engines, transmissions, and more. You will also conduct thorough diagnostic testing and perform necessary repairs, ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble components on large drilling equipment, including hydraulic cylinders, diesel engines, and transmissions.
• Conduct thorough diagnostic testing of mechanical systems to isolate potential problems.
• Write detailed service reports and complete parts order requisitions.
• Operate a variety of equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and heavy construction equipment.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on drilling and pile driving equipment within required timeframes.
• Complete check-in and check-out sheets for rental equipment and notify the Service Manager of any suspected customer damage.
• Clean, wash, and perform minor repairs at jobsite locations.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with heavy construction equipment.
• Proficiency in electronics, CAN-bus wiring, hydraulics, power trains, and diesel engines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power-driven tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with CAT and Bauer equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and install components.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of King George, VA. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
