Service Technician
As a Service Technician, you will perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain water treatment equipment. You will diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test systems, and make necessary adjustments. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading trucks at each customer's service site as dispatched and conducting daily truck inspections, reporting any safety or mechanical issues immediately. Completing all services as scheduled by management and utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment will also be part of your role.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain water treatment equipment.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test systems.
- Load and unload trucks at each customer's service site.
- Conduct daily truck inspections and report issues immediately.
- Complete all scheduled services.
- Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Continue education on purification equipment and theory.
- Notify management of concerns regarding service stops.
- Respond to emergency service calls when scheduled.
- Adhere to company and customer site safety requirements.
- Identify alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
- Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- Collaborate with other departments to complete common goals.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Essential Skills
- Ability to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair water treatment systems.
- Proficiency with PVC from ¾" to 4" and general plumbing/electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents in various formats.
- Adherence to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical experience.
- HVAC knowledge.
- Plumbing skills are helpful.
- Technical maintenance experience.
- Proficiency with tools and enjoyment of troubleshooting equipment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
