Journeyman Service Plumber
As a Service Plumber, you will perform a range of plumbing services from simple faucet repairs to water heater installations and plumbing system replacements.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to customer service calls, conduct thorough inspections of plumbing issues, accurately diagnose problems, offer effective solutions and estimates, and successfully close service sales.
- Install and repair various plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners, ensuring proficiency and compliance with necessary licensing.
- Conduct sewer and drain cleaning services in diverse environments such as basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close quarters, ensuring thorough cleaning and restoration of work sites to meet pre-job conditions.
- Prepare invoices, total costs of services/products provided, collect payment, and explain the service guarantee, both in writing and through the provided smartphone.
- Move on to the next service call after collecting payment.
Essential Skills
- Valid driver's license.
- Five or more years of repair and service plumbing experience.
- Proven track record in the sale of plumbing products and services.
- Full knowledge of plumbing systems.
- Journeyman license.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Excavation Certification through Competent Person Training (OSHA requirement) within the first year of employment.
- Backflow certifications (support provided).
- OSHA 10 certification (support provided).
- Preventative maintenance skills.
- Customer-facing skills.
- Approachable, talkative, outgoing, friendly demeanor.
- Experience with water heater installation and repairs, including gas, electric, and tankless water heaters.
- Drain cleaning expertise.
- Familiarity with toilets, sinks, PVC, cast iron, and copper plumbing.

Work Environment
