Service Mechanic

As a Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing damaged or worn parts for a variety of utility equipment manufacturers and municipal equipment. Your role will involve working with hydraulic and electrical services, hydraulic fluid power troubleshooting, and pneumatic tool troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Fit bearings and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Diagnose faults using pressure gauges, flow test equipment, and calibration devices.
• Rebuild gearboxes, outriggers, and boom lift cylinders.
• Perform initial inspections, diagnostics, and parts requisition.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using appropriate tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and vehicles.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical, hydraulics, diesel, and trailer repair.
• At least 3 years of service or trailer mechanic experience.
• Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, welding, heavy equipment, and diesel engines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic training is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Work Environment

Join a small to mid-size company specializing in truck and equipment modifications. Work hours are from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm on the 1st Shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
