We are seeking a skilled Residential Service Plumber to join our team, specializing in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in custom homes. With a focus on high-end fixtures and complex systems such as boilers, radiant floor heating, and water heaters, this role demands exceptional attention to detail and professionalism when working in private residences.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing systems including water, waste, vent, and gas piping.
• Service and maintain high-end fixtures, boilers, radiant floor heating systems, and tankless and tank water heaters.
• Provide timely, respectful, and discreet service in clients' homes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues with precision and efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with clients to explain findings, options, and recommendations.
• Research, locate, and order specialty or hard-to-find materials and parts.
• Maintain detailed records of service visits, including parts used, work performed, and next steps.
• Follow up with the office and clients on pending work or material lead times.
• Anticipate materials, tools, or system needs for ongoing or return visits.
• Respect privacy, cleanliness, and home protection protocols during all service calls.
• Support and uphold safety standards and company policies at all times.
• Submit digital documentation, time entries, and photos as needed for job records and billing.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of plumbing experience with a strong focus on service and repair.
• Proven knowledge of high-end plumbing fixtures and custom systems.
• In-depth experience with boilers, radiant floor heating, tank/tankless water heaters, and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Familiarity with code requirements and best practices for residential plumbing.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on discretion, cleanliness, and respect for private property.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in the field.
• Clean driving record required for company vehicle use.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA Certification and CPR Certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Computer literacy and ability to use basic systems for documentation and email.
• Capable of reading and understanding service manuals and plumbing plans.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Work Environment

Work primarily involves high-end residential service plumbing, with the shop located in Tarzana and work conducted in Beverly Hills/West Side. Hours are Monday to Saturday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 or 4:30 PM. A service van is provided, which can be driven home if parked behind a gate. The work involves both independent service calls and collaborating with a crew of 10-12 on construction sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tarzana, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
